WEEK 2/104: The LOST LETTER

Being up at trek without technology, I somehow lost this letter and all these pictures.  In the process of trying to update Tanner's mission blog, I found them!

Dear friends!

I will start with something I learned from my studies this week. In second Nephi it talks about the wickedness of the people and how they are hypocrites and just evil, doing all manner of wickedness. However at the end of the verse it says the Lord's "anger is not turned away but his hand is stretched out still"( 2nd Nephi 19:17). It later goes on to say his hand is stretched out still again later in that chapter and even once more in the next. I have learned that when the Lord repeats himself he is serious.

So my message is this, no matter how far you think you have fallen from the Saviors sight and grasp, if you reach your arm out in faith towards the Atonement, I testify that you will find Christ is patiently waiting, hoping, and praying you will do so. As soon as you do he will grab your hand with all the strength and determination that only the love of our oldest brother could have and he will not let you go. He with pull you up to safety, and if you allow him back into your life, He will not let you fall again. I enthusiastically encourage all of you to watch "where justice, love and mercy meet". It is probably my favorite church video. As you do so after spiritually preparing yourself, I testify that you will be filled with the spirit and you will come to understand more fully the love that our loving brother, and Heavenly Father has for us.

The MTC is passing by slow however I am enjoying it very much!!  I won't be able to email until the Monday after this upcoming one because I will be leaving out to the field this Tuesday. Do not be afriad to write me IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! It is the highlight of a missionaries week! Love you all and thank you for the prayers on my behalf. I can feel them and I am being so blessed!

Elder Pace.

He explained that they have a tradition of piling all their garbage up on someone's tray when it's their birthday.  He said they were doing this and laughing and then after they left, this missionary simply said "It's not my birthday".
