WEEK 2/104: Ninja Companion

Hello again

Just to let you know I think once I'm out in the field my emails will be very short. They give us a little more time in the MTC but as soon as I'm out in the field, I have no idea how I will respond to everyone. Anways, how is everything?! Everyone doing well?

I have not gotten sick yet but I did notice a few bites on my arm this morning. I sure hope those malaria pills work!!! I can't wait to get that camera thing, I took a great picture with little kids. One of them really wanted to touch my hair haha. I can't remember if I said anything about my companion but if I did I will tell you again. We are the only ones in our district who get along. The only problem is he is having a hard time learning and teaching doctrine. He often teaches false doctrine to our practice investigators. But he is trying, and we are good friends. I also have to keep my eye on this kid because I swear he is a ninja! If I take my eye off him for a second he finds a way to disappear and wander off. One time we went to the washroom and I finished first so I stood by the entrance watching everyone exit and like 10 minutes past and I couldn't find him. Turns out he some how got passed me and was wondering around. I don't know how he does it!! This kid is stressing me out! I've talked to him several times but he still just goes off on his own. Other than that though we really get along very well. People in my district always tell us how lucky we are but I think it just comes down to attitude. I have had three companions so far, one was only for a day but I got along with all three. But I am excited to go out to the field Tuesday, it will be great!!!

Elder Pace

His current companion is Tongan so I'm thinking the companion in the picture is companion #2?  We know one change was to help a companion learn English since he was only speaking in his native language to his previous companion.  He also said his district likes to come and hang out in his room at night.  He said he tells them he's trying to sleep but they come anyways :).  It sounds like he will be going to his mission on Tuesday and then we won't hear from him until the following Monday since his PDays will then switch from Thursday to Monday.
