WEEK 12: Faith

Hello friends!

This week was great! During my personal study I was able to lean more about faith and how it is different than knowing. I learned this when reading about the brother of Jared who saw the finger of Christ and later even saw the Savior completely.

The brother of Jared was a very faithful man, in fact so much so that the Lord even said no man before him has had such exceedingly great faith. Sooo that must mean he never had doubts right? Wrong! Faith is not having perfect knowledge because if you have that then you have no need for faith. Faith is not knowing compleatly but believing in or even hoping for something that you can't see but is true. The brother ofJared had faith, even more than any man before him however he still did have doubts. We find evidence of this in Ether chapter 3 verse 19. This says after he saw the finger of Christ " he had faith no longer, for he knew, nothing doubting". This verse tells us even with his great faith he had doubts and it wasn't until he saw the finger of the Lord that he KNEW nothing doubting.

So I will end with this. If you have doubts of your own its okay! All you need to do is exercise continual faith in Christ relying on his Atonement and that will be enough to redeem you from the fall and bring you back into his presence just like it did for the brother of Jared.

As for everything else, all is well. We should have 2 baptisms on the 18th, one is Peter. I swear that man is a future stake president he is very powerful! Our ward is really doing better and helped welcome in Akoto who is an investigator, and after she said she loved church! This week we had 14 investigators attend church Sunday!  Soo everything is progressing! Love you all! Until next week.
