WEEK 52: The example of children!

This week was awesome!! What made it better is it ended with a baptism and confirmation. So to start off the week we ended up meeting and teaching some really cool people that I can see have a lot a of potential.

Later in the week a smile was brought to my face when I visited two sisters age 12 and 13 who were just baptized. We asked them how their Book of Mormon reading was going and they said they read it together everyday. HOW INCREDIBLE!. What made it better is 12 year old Olivia is so excited about the Book of Mormon that she shared it with her school teacher that said one day she will follow her and visit the church. We love these children so much, the have such pure hearts. Me and Elder Lephoyo ordered like 12 copies of the Book of  Mormon stories, story book to give to all of them.

Next week Sister Kate and her daughter will be baptized. Her brothers who were strong drinkers are trying to stop due to her positive influence and they even have been coming to church.

Today I will watch the Greatest Showman and tomorrow is zone conference.  I'm pumped!

Tanner's Farewell

Tanners farewell was lovely.  He really did do a nice job on his talk.  It was fun to catch a glimpse of his personality sprinkled throughout yet he was respectful as well.  He has truly grown so much this past year and I'm sure he will grow even more these next two.   I'm very grateful my family were able to come.  I think he would have felt bad if nobody was able to be here.  We stay for all three meetings so we really didn't have much of a celebration after....just the family had lunch together and then we said good-bye.  I still tried to decorate a bit so he would feel special. WEEK 7/104: Faith

(I told Tanner from his pictures it looks like he was sent to a country inhabited solely by children!) Hey everyone!! So this week was very successful, well until the end but hey I will take it. We found 4 new investigators and received 1 referral. Three of the 4 investigators we found all in one place together and we have taught them twice throughout the week. And wow, they are powerful... they have really been prepared to learn about and receive the gospel.They ask so many questions and are just so ready to learn the truth. They go to a church but realize the things going on in that church are not right, so when we extended the invitation to come to our church they were not ready. They told us they have already made a poor choice once so they want to be sure before they decided again. MERRY CHRISTMAS (12-23-19)

Hello Friends,  Afishapa!! That translates into Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I have been listening to Christmas music a lot and I especially love the song that reads, "its the most wonderful time, of the year."... This is definitely a true and accurate statement, and as I reflected on why this is my thought lead me back to my Savior.  Christmas is about Christ, and it pains me when I see His name replaced with an X. If you have fallen given into this disrespectful temptation by placing this on social media posts, or text messages, or even posters, then I would invite you to quickly repent and put Christ back into your Christmas and lives.  That is not the only way we take Christ out of Christmas however.
