WEEK 74: Blessings

Whats up friends!

Long time!!! I'm not going to lie, I hate doing group emails, but I love all of you and I'm sure some are waiting for a quick update! haha.

This week was a very great one! To start off my week I went on an exchange with one of my good friends on mission and it was a blast! After that we had a district council and the sisters shared with us how they are really struggling in their area, so we were blessed with the opportunity to go and help them in their area with a mass contacting. I recently went to their apartment to drop off supplies and asked them if they found any success from it. They said with so much energy and enthusiasm yes! Even one of the people found during this activity was a person previously investigating the church. They said they are now teaching the entire family and they want to be baptized! WHAT A MIRACLE!

My companion and I were also blessed to go to a meeting with the mission president. This meeting consisted of a small number of elders and sisters in the mission. I felt so spiritually uplifted after this meeting and  I just loved it. The day before this same small group of missionaries had a companionship basketball tournament. The last time I played I was probably the worst player ever. My companion also knows nothing about basketball so I reasonably assumed we would be the first ones out. I surprised myself, I didn't do too bad! I have no idea how my skills improved since I did not practice even once but somehow they did! We upset the favorites twice throughout the tournament and ended up placing second. The team that won also beat us twice but both games came down to the wire...

The highlight of my week was our baptism we had. The candidates name is Sister Victoria. She was a referral from our bishop and was a golden investigator. What a blessing that was to see her go down into the water. Finally this week the same small group of us missionaries that went to the meeting are going to be blessed to go down to Accra this Friday to listen to a General Authority. We were also told that Burger King will be provided for us. YES!

That's all for this week, until next time!
