WEEK 44: Kids Leading the Way!

Hello friends!

This week was awesome! So the update on my life is I had 11 kids (ages 3-14) come to church!!! We teach them like every other day then out of no where they all came to church!. (He shared a little more of this story with his dad.  This group of kids are waiting for them quite often.  They sit down and teach them and have shared some materials about the church with them.  On Saturday they didn't have time to stop as they had another appointment.  The told the kids that they could study the materials they had and let them know they could come to church the next day.  As they rode away on their bikes they could hear one of the children ask the others..."So what is faith?"  and they proceeded to have their own little lesson!  Although they had invited them to join them at church they didn't think it would actually happen.  Tanner said they doubled the size of the branch that day!) 

I get a new companion this week (because of the 12 hour time distance, the new companion won't arrive until Thursday evening). Umm and I really really enjoy reading Jesus the Christ. 
 
One thing I learned this week comes from talking with my father. Perfection doesn't come all at once. Heavenly Father doesn't care as much when we fall all he cares is if we get back up. As we keep on running the race of life we will find we will fall less and less as time goes on. Eventually even if its not this life we will come to the point where we won't fall anymore and we will finish the race. So just keep on running!

I also learned that you never know what kind of impact you might have on people. So just keep on being the light that you are and know people are watching you.

Tanner's Farewell

Tanners farewell was lovely.  He really did do a nice job on his talk.  It was fun to catch a glimpse of his personality sprinkled throughout yet he was respectful as well.  He has truly grown so much this past year and I'm sure he will grow even more these next two.   I'm very grateful my family were able to come.  I think he would have felt bad if nobody was able to be here.  We stay for all three meetings so we really didn't have much of a celebration after....just the family had lunch together and then we said good-bye.  I still tried to decorate a bit so he would feel special. WEEK 7/104: Faith

(I told Tanner from his pictures it looks like he was sent to a country inhabited solely by children!) Hey everyone!! So this week was very successful, well until the end but hey I will take it. We found 4 new investigators and received 1 referral. Three of the 4 investigators we found all in one place together and we have taught them twice throughout the week. And wow, they are powerful... they have really been prepared to learn about and receive the gospel.They ask so many questions and are just so ready to learn the truth. They go to a church but realize the things going on in that church are not right, so when we extended the invitation to come to our church they were not ready. They told us they have already made a poor choice once so they want to be sure before they decided again. MERRY CHRISTMAS (12-23-19)

Hello Friends,  Afishapa!! That translates into Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I have been listening to Christmas music a lot and I especially love the song that reads, "its the most wonderful time, of the year."... This is definitely a true and accurate statement, and as I reflected on why this is my thought lead me back to my Savior.  Christmas is about Christ, and it pains me when I see His name replaced with an X. If you have fallen given into this disrespectful temptation by placing this on social media posts, or text messages, or even posters, then I would invite you to quickly repent and put Christ back into your Christmas and lives.  That is not the only way we take Christ out of Christmas however.
