WEEK 46: April Fools Joke


With Elder Lephoyo and their two baptisms








Hello friends!! 

Well this week was DOPE! Elder Lephoyo and I were very blessed this week. We were able to meet many new people as well as receive many referrals. We even had 2 baptisms and confirmations to conclude this week! PUMPED. Our sacrament attendance for our investigators keeps growing. This week we had 28 investigators come, and that's only counting those who are 8 years of age or older. Counting everyone we brought we had 67% of our sacrament attendance hahah! These kids we have been teaching are just awesome! They come every week and some of them we will baptize very soon and they are so excited. We were able to go and talk to the parents and for the most part all is good. 

Haha Something funny that happened this week was our entire mission got scammed with a fake but official looking letter from the "First Presidency" saying the mission length for males has been reduced to 18 months. It somehow was sent through the filtered church email service to all the stake and district presidents in Ghana, or at least in our mission. But in the end it turned out to be just an April fools joke from an unknown person. haha So many missionaries were devastated but to be honest it was actually pretty darn funny. So yeah thats about all for this week!

Wow, we are living in interesting times aren't we! I never imagined that while on my mission I wouldn't be able to invite people to church! ha! When my mission president called me with the update of church members no longer meeting in the meeting houses I was nervous. I was thinking wow, if the coronavirus is big enough to close meetings worldwide then I wonder how dangerous it really is. I started to worry for my family, I began to be confused as to what can I  do now as a missionary. I started to worry about the possibility of American borders closing down and  being stuck! Reasonably I was worried, anxious, and a little discouraged. It's not easy to go out to proselyte and have people yell "Coronavirus" at you because your a foreigner. WEEK 9/104: Trocho

With Tyson coming home this week, I got a little behind sending out Tanner's letter.  This was his letter from last week.  I'll be getting his letter from this week in just a few hours. Sorry! :) This week was great!!  We had 8 investigators at church which was just crazy!! One we found while getting fried rice, which made me learn we need to be a missionary always and not just when we feel like it! So remember that all you people back home getting ready to serve!  Okay so one funny story, but before I begin I need to explain what a trocho is. It is like a smallish bus that is very cheap to ride in but only drives through certain areas. Two people work it. A driver and mate. The mate calls out the city they will pass through while sticking his hand out the window. if you stick your hand out it means you want a ride.
